Signs of Spring

This is a print of an original gouache, opaque watercolor, painting of Dwarf Dogwoods and Stiff Club moss. This painting was selected to part of the Small Works Show sponsored by South West Artists, and is on display at the gallery in Mena, Arkansas. So if you are in the area through July stop by and view some very good works of fine art.

This original painting is based on several photographs taken in the Fairbanks, Alaska area. Dwarf Dogwood and the Stiff Club Moss only grow 8 to 10 inches tall, and they can cover an area almost completely. The Dwarf Dogwood and Stiff Club Moss are 8 to 10 inches tall and make for a beautiful site when both are in flower.

The image is the same size of the original painting, 5 X 7 inches, and is printed very heavy archival paper with archival inks. The paper is very close to 140 pound cold press watercolor paper. The print is 100 percent cotton rag and has a matte finish like the original painting. Your print comes with a double matte. The inside matte is white and the outside, or top matte, is black with a "V" groove cut around the inside edge to give emphasis to the print. Your matted print measures 11 X 14 inches and will fit any standard picture frame. Prints of "Signs of Spring", is limited to a total of 25 prints.
