This is an original Smokey Bear poster. It is not a reproduction and was printed in 1972/ Printed across the bottom of the poster: "73--CFFP--1a; U. S. Department of Agriculture--Forest Service and Your State Forester; GPO : 1972." This vintage poster is in very good condition. This poster is printed on paper and is not cardboard as some Smokey Bear posters were. These were intended for short-term use and not many of these survived the decades after printing. However, it was folded at one time in the middle and has a slight crease across the middle of the poster. The crease is not very noticeable and does not detract from the image. This poster comes from an estate. This would be a great addition to Smokey Bear collectors or for those wanting a piece of original American history. This would also make a great addition to a children's room showing the importance of wild land management.
The poster will be mailed rolled in a round mailing tube.
