DetailsThis is an original "Smokey Bear" poster that was printed in 1967, and is NOT a reproduction. Printed across the bottom of the poster is, "U.S. Department of Agriculture -- Forest Service -- 68--CFFP-2a, U.S. Government Printing Office:1967 -- Louisiana Forestry Commission." The poster is in excellent condition and the colors are bright without any fading. The half-inch white borders show some slight yellowing from its 51 years of age. A group of these posters were folded over at some time in the past. A slight fold can be seen, but does not detract from the image. The poster measures 13 X 19 inches. Not many of these posters are still in existence in such great condition. This poster would make a great addition to one's "Smokey Bear" collection or for someone wanting to own a piece of American history. These posters would have been commonly seen in rural communities especially where forest fires were a problem.
The poster will be mailed in a mailing tube by USPS first-class mail.
